Marvin Sapp - Thirsty

Marvin Sapp - Thirsty

Gospel Music: For Thirsty, Sapp teamed up with some of the industry's most promising up-and-coming producers. Aaron Lindsey (Israel & New Breed, Martha Munizzi), the multi-talented Myron Butler and members of his 2007 Stellar Award-winning choir, Levi, along with members of 2007 Grammy Award-winning New Breed all joined forces in what is arguably the most innovative mix of talent the industry has seen in years.

Billboard Gospel chart's #1: Marvin Sapp's Thirsty is what may be the best of his seven albums, with a record-breaking first week of sales and hitting the Billboard Gospel chart's #1 spot.

The DVD for this also had an outstanding first week of sales, opening at #2 on the Christian Soundscan Music Video Chart. "Thirsty" is a spiritual booster when your life is flat and uninspiring.

AP Says: Associated Press reports Marvin as, "vibrates like he's wringing every drop of emotion from his spirit." "Thirsty" is more worship than praise, slower than fast and more personal than before.

Marvin Says: He likens his experience to David running from Absalom in the Psalms. "I go to a very desolate place in my existence and think about things that most people don't think about and when I get there--that's where I find sanctuary. When you go to a place where you can't depend on anybody around you then and only then can you call on God and when God shows up, where ever you are becomes your sanctuary."

Playing Time Approximate Running Time: 90 Minutes. The DVD was recorded LIVE before a capacity crowd. It will also include a special behind the scenes montage.
